University Million Makers
Want to experience an
entrepreneurial challenge? Do you want to develop
skills to impress future employees? Yes. Then enter University
Million Makers .
We are challenging teams of five students to show
off their entrepreneurial talent and raise £1,500 in a month
for The Prince's Trust.
What is Million Makers?
Companies and universities are rallying together
to raise £1million for The Prince’s Trust through
the Million Makers campaign. Million Makers is an
entrepreneurial competition that challenges teams
to compete against each other to raise the most amount of
income and be crowned Million Makers champions.
Entering a team in University Million Makers is a fantastic
opportunity to impress corporate organisations, especially those
that are taking part in Corporate Million Makers, such as ATOS,
EMC, and HP.
There are four stages to the University Million Makers
competition:
- Recruitment October
to November 2012
- Planning:
November to December 2012
Before you start any activity teams need to think about how,
when, where and what the activity will be.
With the support from a Prince’s Trust mentor, teams
complete a business plan. They can also use the months of November
through to January to prepare and promote their activity.
- Action: The Challenge; February
2013
In February team must deliver their ideas and
raise as much funds as they can within 4 weeks. The team that
raises the most within the 4 weeks wins! All income must reach The
Prince’s Trust by 28th February
Hopefully throughout the
University Million Makers challenge you have learnt a great deal.
As a way of rounding up your experience we ask you produce a short
report. This will hopefully help you identify skills that you have
learnt.

The challenge was exciting and different; I
learnt so many useful practical business skills such as networking
