Nicci Gower
Founder of greeting card company, Hammond
Gower.
From an early age, Nicci had a passion and belief in her
ability to succeed. Having left school and gained experience
with her first and only employer, she knew one day she would
have to run her own business.
Nicci didn’t have to wait long, and from humble beginnings and
with a range of only 16 cards, she created Hammond Gower. Selling
from the boot of her car, she travelled the length and breadth of
the country for nine years, getting to know the greeting card
industry inside-out.
Although a little shy by nature, Nicci has never been afraid to
boast about the sheer quality of Hammond Gower’s beautiful cards
and now 25 years on, is incredibly proud to look back and see what
all that hard work has achieved.
Last year Hammond Gower celebrated its quarter century with an
exciting new logo, website and catalogue. Feedback has been great,
and business is good too, with their best ever year last year and
this year looking even better.
