RBS supports the next generation of UK enterprise
The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) is the
largest corporate supporter of The Trust's Enterprise Programme,
providing disadvantaged young people with access to funding and
mentor support to enable them to start up in business.
As part of the RBS Inspiring Enterprise
initiative, RBS have pledged £3m to fund Enterprise across England,
Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland over the next three years.
The Prince’s Trust and RBS have been working together to support
young people for more than a decade. Since 2009, the partnership
has focused on encouraging enterprise in disadvantaged communities
across the UK, with award winning results.
RBS’s work with The Trust continues their work to build links
within the youth enterprise sector to help close the generational
enterprise gap. The partnership is a key part of RBS Inspiring
Enterprise, encouraging more people in communities to explore
enterprise, build their skills and start up in business.

Our award winning partnership has been commended at a number of
industry awards and we were thrilled that our partnership won an
unprecedented five awards at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2011.
In March 2012 this winning streak continued when the partnership
won the prestigious Corporate Sponsorship award at the Hollis
RBS Employees: fundraisers extraordinaire
The partnership has proved an ideal platform for engaging
RBS employees throughout the country. Using their
entrepreneurialism to win Zero to Hero
and set up a small business to raise vital funds - over a quarter
of a million pounds will be raised during 2013 alone by RBS
RBS employee’s are engaged in fundraising, volunteering and
business mentoring, and have helped raise over £1.8 million. This
is a truly phenomenal amount of money that has changed the lives of
young people like Peter Higgs, who started his own business through
our Enterprise Programme.
