MasterCard employees tackle Brain Raiders Quiz

MasterCard employees in Canary Wharf pitted their wits against each other at the Brain Raiders fundraising quiz event, held in aid of The Prince’s Trust.

MasterCard Worldwide became a Patron of The Prince’s Trust in April, committing significant funding to support young people in London and the South East through The Trust’s Enterprise Programme. The quiz evening, which took place ahead of the long Jubilee weekend, kicked off MasterCard’s employee engagement programme of fundraising and volunteering activities for the charity.

Twelve teams battled it out, answering questions on a range of topics including movies, music, pop culture and youth culture, and raised an impressive £1,000 for The Prince's Trust. The winning team on the evening was “Let’s Get Quizzical”, followed by “Bakenecker’s Babes in second place and “Oy Oy Oy” in third place.

Also in attendance was Young Ambassador Jarred King, who was helped by The Prince's Trust to set up his business My Tshirt Flashes.com, who co-hosted the quiz. He took the opportunity to share his experience with those at the event, reminding them that every penny raised was going to help more young people just like him to change their lives for the better.

Marion King, President of MasterCard UK & Ireland, said:

I passionately support the good work undertaken by The Prince's Trust to promote financial inclusion. I am proud to help them support young people to develop their entrepreneurial spirit and achieve their potential. I was delighted with the fantastic response we had to the quiz, which is just one of the many ways in which our employees are getting involved with The Trust and raising funds for this very worthwhile cause.
