The JST Youth Leadership @ Sea Scheme

Why not learn to sail on the JST Youth Leadership Scheme? If you are you 16 – 25 years old you can apply to join a tall ship crew on an expedition, working with up to 10 people. No previous sailing experience is necessary and you can get a bursary towards costs. Peace Mix

Peace Mix was set up by ex-gang members and is funded by the Big Lottery Fund. It is a national movement which invites young people to think about what peace means to them and record their lyrics/raps/beats/instrumentals for peace on a professionally created backing track. Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP)

Positive Activities for Young People provides Information about youth clubs, sports facilities and arts projects for young people up to the age of 19 across the UK.

Royal Mail Christmas Vacancies

Royal Mail will soon be recruiting for the upcoming Christmas period. There are over 20,000 vacancies nationwide lasting for 3-4 weeks.

Sorting and delivering vacancies will be advertised on the Royal Mail website from Wednesday 5 September. Although the vacancies are initially for 3-4 weeks over Christmas, with mostly full time hours and shift work covering 7 days, there is the potential to be kept on in the new year. Wages will vary according to location, but will be at lease £6.20 per hour.

This programme inspires and empowers young people from across the UK and Ireland to make a difference in their communities by applying to Starbucks Youth Action for seed funding to bring your ideas to life. As well as supporting the young people to bring to life the projects that mean the most to them, young people benefit from training run by UK Youth on managing a budget, working with volunteers and project management.
