£1m raised just in one
day
As a £50m charity supporting 50,000 young
people this year, The Trust needs to raise £1 million a
week. On 23rd November, thanks to teamwork across the organisation,
we collected this staggering amount in just a day.
Here is how the story unfolded. A
private broking firm, Marex Spectron, donated
all of their profits from one day’s trading, totalling
£400k. Then American
Express paid us £110k as part of a
£150k deal. The Peacock Trust
donated £90k and The Rock Gala
held at The Royal Albert Hall pulled in £300k.
This was truly an amazing achievement and
comes on the back of several other major pieces of funding news in
recent weeks. £2m of multiyear funding was confirmed in the South
West and several public sector funding deals worth over
£100k have been confirmed up and down the country.
These successes are completely to do with
teamwork and all of the organisation working together -
so thanks to EVERYONE for all your support and hard work.
